This school was birthed during my time as an undergrad student while I rode the bus to school in the morning. The first bus picked me up just before 6 am and I couldn't help but notice that I was not only the youngest passenger, but the others reminded me of my grandparents.

My heart ached riding that bus because I saw people who should have been enjoying retirement on a bus before 6 o'clock in the morning. I looked at them and worried about my parents who were both extremely hard working, but were they going to be prepared for retirement when the time comes.

It was then that I understood what I needed to do so I took school extremely seriously, studying everything I needed to learn to have the impact I wanted to have on my community.
